microchip08 (talk · contribs) - I'm microchip08, and I don't really have much to do all day. So, I'm putting myself forward for being an admin, so that I can make a real difference to the Wikipedia community. I've been a Wikipedian from October '06, but have really only done lots of edits (although not many), from maybe December.
I mainly do proofreads & copyedits, and have started a couple of articles that have since been merged elsewhere. I really only edit, and I don't normally create more information.Microchip08 15:05, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here:
I've accepted. I know I won't get through.
- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. You may wish to answer the following optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work, if any, do you intend to take part in?
- A: I'll probably do
vandal work(oops) work to combat vandalism, but I'm not sure.
- A: I'll probably do
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: My Play rewrite. I'm doing it at the moment, and just need to type it up, as I've put in a lot of effort into it.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I've not really had any.
- General comments
I'll come back after 2000 if I don't get through. Thanks for the support. Although I know it won't happen, I'll leave it up for comments.

Discussion
- I don't think you're ready just yet. I'll assume you made the mistake of supporting yourself, but you only have about 120 edits. Definitely come back with more experience, and happy editing! Majorly (hot!) 16:56, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose
- Oppose sorry, but with fewer than 500 contributions, there isn't enough evidence to know if you have the policy experience and temperament to be an admin. Your RfA is malformed (you haven't got the name right), you should know if you read the RfA instructions that you should not support yourself and your answers to the standard questions show you don't understand that an admin does (your answer to Q1 accidentally implies you are going to use the admin tools to vandalize Wikipedia). I suggest you withdraw, get at least 2000 edits under your belt and then apply for an editor review. Gwernol 16:54, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose Awarding yourself a barnstar isn't very cool. --Spartaz Humbug! 16:57, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- The barnstar is the Irrational Proof Medal, and is not an official barnstar. It's got on the barnstar page that you can add it yourself.
- Oppose - sorry. You seam do be doing a really good job there, but you just haven't got enough experience as yet. you've only been active for a month and we really need you to participate here longer so we know we can trust you. Also, you should get more edits, you've only got around 250, you need to demonstrate that you have experience in different areas of wikipedia such as talk pages, user talk pages and wikipedia space - try and get around 2000 edit. As I said though, you certainly do have potential so keep your head up. :-) Ryan Postlethwaite 16:57, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks, but what is there to do in the Wikipedia space?
- Oppose, just not enough experience and no clear idea why you need the tools. The Rambling Man 16:59, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Neutral
- Come back later You're not yet ready by anybody's standards. Keep on truckin! If you want to be an admin, keep making useful edits. SchmuckyTheCat 16:54, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
